The optimal combat flow cycles through three phases, each tied to a stance:

  1. Probe (One-Handed): Engage the enemy with fast, low-cost attacks. Read their timing. Deflect their counters. Build Ki Flame. This phase is about information and posture management.
  2. Punish (Two-Handed): When the enemy's posture is low or they're staggered, switch to two-handed and land heavy damage. Every hit should connect — this is not the time for risky swings.
  3. Recover (One-Handed or Disengage): After your two-handed punish, switch back to one-handed or create space. Let your posture regenerate. Reassess the situation. If the enemy is still standing, return to Probe.

Enemy Posture System
